Wala Wala Wala!!

Have you heard the new song of Kamikazee, entitled "Wala"? The song basically speaks about how corruption and how our present "leaders" have all been too good to be true. The lyrics has what no one would dare to tell our "leader" about our situation. There are numerous TV commercials on how "good" our economy was when our "leader" is leading the way.
Finally someone who has the guts to tell our "leader" the truth. Maybe someone is filling our "leader(s)" head lies about our economy. I will ask you a question, "Did you fell the lift in our ecomony?". If you answered no, just enjoy the song.

WALA

Napanuod sa telebisyon,
Mag iisteyt op di neysyon,
Nakamit daw ekspekteysyon,
Sa kanyang imagineysyon
Walang nangyare, wala naman nabago
Parehong kwento, sino ba ang niloloko mo?

Wala naman kaming napala,
Wala! Wala! Wala! Wala!
Meron pa bang naniniwala?
Wala! Wala! Wala! Wala!
Wala ka naman kasing nagawa.
Wala! Wala! Wala! Wala!
Wala na sayonh naniniwala!

Sabi mo merong solusyon
Sa paberti at mas starbeysyon,
Nabawasan daw konsumisyon,
Dis kol por a selebreysyon.
Pero walang nangyari, walang nagbago
Parehong kwento, sino ba ang niloloko mo?
Wala naman kaming napala
Lalo lang lumalala

Pressure-d!!!

It has been half a year since I had my last paycheck, half a year since I gave money to buy something here on our house, half a year since I was me....

My mom gave me some money to spend because I was always at our house, cooking dinner, cleaning our house, more like a "boy" in our house. My mom told that she saw my former boss and she asked about me. My mom told me I don't have any work, She told my mom, "If you only he endured and stayed here". I was like, huh?!!, she don't know what I am going thru. I salute those people who are stiving to work despite the fact that they don't like their job.

It was hard for me to swallow my pride at first, having no money and nothing to do. I believe that I am capable of landing a good job, it will just be a matter of when. Sure I am pressured to have a job because I wanted to settle down, if you know what I mean. I've had like 100+ applications to different companies, and till know, nothing.
I am a man of optimism, I tend to be happy with my present situation in life, I don't want to rush things, I don't want to rush being a millionaire that I get to forget the "simple" things that make life happy.

I still wake up everyday thanking GOD for this opportunity to rest and serve HIM, I know in HIS time, I will have the job of my life. I can feel it, it will be soon..

Washi-washing!!

I went to the market early to buy stuff for my cooking show. I am getting good at cooking, since I don't have any job and wanted to be useful at home. I started out picking a whole chicken for my Curry Chicken Adi (wow!!). Nice, now I have to publish a book, too bad i don't have any camera to show you my masterpiece, but nevertheless, it is good.

Started out chopping chilis, i want it hot hot hot. The foolish thing i did was I did not wash my hands and instead rubbed my fingers at my nostrils. My nostrils suddenly went red and was very hot. I immediately washed my face with cold water and after like 10-15 minutes it was gone but my nostrils are still red.

I finished cooking and ate what I cooked, only this time, I washed my hands.

LOL!!

Marley and Me

I know, I know, I know. Marley and Me movie is not the newest movie to have a review on, but hey, who cares?!!.. get your own blog (kidding!!)

But seriously, watching Marley and Me made my eyes teary. The story of a dog and its owners trying to be there for each other, doing goofy stuffs to make other happy, being the best companion, being a friend.

We all have our own Marley in our lives. It doesn't need to be a dog to qualify as "Marley". A constant companion who takes your blues away just seeing them or spending time together. A best friend to us, who never leaves our side and who makes silly mistakes but we still love (him/her).

My heart melted on the last chapter of the movie. Marley was old as an 80 year old person but still trying to be a companion to His master's children and to his masters. Its hard saying goodbye to someone who you love and was your companion for all time. It was hard for them to see the dog they love and treated as their own pass away. I can still feel their loss up until now that I am writing this blog. As they say, Give them your heart, and they will offer their life for you. Losing someone was painful for them but they need to endure and live their lives to the fullest. They need to remember that for once in their lives, along came marley.

DEVASTATING BLOW(P-I-N-O-Y Power!!!)

The loss of Ricky Hatton brings hope to every Filipino here and abroad. If you look closely on the papers or the record of these two brilliant fighter, surely, no doubt that Hatton will win. If they fight on paper, they say. The left hook by Pacman was really one of his best punches ever. You can literally see Hatton's eyes close after the punch was delivered. It was like being hammered by a ten wheeler truck. Poor Hatton.
Pinoys all over the world rejoiced as Hitman kissed the canvass for good. It was like seeing the Global Financial Crisis succumb to a great fighter. I can only wish that Pacman can punch our crisis away. We should be humble and should be like Pacman in dealing with problems. Earlier, I told you that if the fight was on paper, I doubt that Pacman can scratch Hatton. But as they say, No fight is done on paper. One of the advantage that Pacman has is that he is Pinoy. Pinoy fight everyday with tougher opponents to survive, not just to earn money, respect, living, but to survive. If we are not resilient to these problems, probably we will be like Hatton kissing the canvass as early as 2nd round.
Surviving is a way of life for Pinoys. We don't get excited with life if we are not facing adversities and problems. Sometimes we tend to be like Hatton who bows down and kiss the canvass easily when faced with a problem. We should gather all of our strength to stand up and fight again another day. Pacman remiinded us that what ever problems we have or is facing right now, it is just one devastating blow away.

job-a-palooza or JOB-A-PARUSA?!!!!

I was up early in anticipation of this year's biggest job fair in the country. Aiming to have a job or a prospect employer at the end of the day was one of my goals coming here to this Job-a-palooza sponsored by DOLE. I was ecstatic to ride a bus going to SMX convention hall in MOA grounds. I was greeted by hundreds of job seekers tyring to have a job at the end of the day. DOLE assured us of 250,000 jobs available locally and overseas. I imagined that everyone who will come to the job fair will have a job at the end of the day. I calculated that if im the 10,000th person on the fair, 240,000 jobs are still up for grabs to those who will come in the afternoon.
Upon reaching the SMX convention center, we were greeted by two security guards telling me and my girlfriend to fall in line. We followed a bunch of newly grads on th line. I wasn't quite sure on how many people was ahead of me. We were ushered to a parking a lot to create an elaborate snake like pattern before giving us the chance of getting inside the convention center. I was quite surprised by the the group of people waiting patiently to enter the SMX grounds. If I were to count the people ahead of me, It would be like more than 1,000. I could not imagine the SMX convention hall accomodating all of us, I was skeptical that we will be given a chance to go inside and aplly or even deposit our resume.
My skepticism soon turned to reality, we were standing on that parking lot for awfully too long. I was cracking jokes to help us ease the tension. I said "Ang mga maglalaro sa WoWowee (Here comes the players for Wowowee)". Everyone that heard what I've said gave a smile and continue to endure the pain of standing for almost 5 hours. Chaos breaks once in a while, people cutting lines and switching lines, peopl hollering at each other to give way and not to cut lines. I was really pissed off with the way things are going. No security guards to help us secure the line. After seeing our agony, a DOLE spokeperson suddenly help up a mic and said "Sa mga job-seekers, Puno na po ang SMX convention center, hindi na po kayo maaccommodate. Meron po kaming 2 bus dyan para po ihatid kayo sa SM Manila, meron din po dung jobfair. (To all our job-seekers, SMX Convention center cannot accomodate all of you. We have provided you 2 buses for transportation to drop you off at SM Manila. We also have an ongoing job fair in SM Manila). Angry cries and a lot of boo's were heard. They told them that they should have told them to find their way to SM Manila sooner. A lot of people was pissed off.
People started to take a walk towards SMX convention hall, many were chanting "GLORIA RESIGN GLORIA RESIGN". TV camera was rolling and was asking for someone to be interviewed. A bright young man was interviewed and he spilled his anger towards DOLE and the Government (poor man).
I went home dissatisfied and saw the bigger picture that it is not enough to promise us 250,000 thousands jobs if we won't be able to be interviewed or let alone pass our resume. I was so pissed off that DOLE was unable to foresee the looming disaster of what will happen. They know that SMX has limited capacity, they should have opted for an open ground to held the "biggest" job fair. They should have deployed a lot of securities and a lot of representatives to address the needs of the people. Truly, you cannot just promise 250,000 thousands jobs to people, you need to help them get in touch with those jobs.
